The five-year Title III project, funded at approximately $370,000 per year, focuses on the following activity:
Improving Access and Student Success through Faculty Development, Instructional Innovation, Enhanced Student Services and Comprehensive Assessment.
This Activity has six specific components:
- Improve institutional research and assessment (advising services, identification of at-risk students, quantitative measures, benchmarking, student tracking, academic, administrative and student services assessment and planning)
- Improve the advising process and student services delivery through comprehensive faculty training, intrusive interventions, extended orientation, first-year strategies, academic alert, development of integrated student services
- Improve Student Success in Developmental and Gateway Courses (supplemental instruction, learning communities and other projects to improve student progress)
- Establish a Teaching and Learning Resource Center to serve as the site for support of faculty and staff development and instructional improvement.
- Increase Distance learning Capacity (Web courses, IPV courses, hybrid courses and effective use of course management software).
- Develop a Summer Bridge for First year Students
