Title III Components
The five-year Title III project, funded at approximately $370,000 per year, focuses on the following activity:

Improving Access and Student Success through Faculty Development, Instructional Innovation, Enhanced Student Services and Comprehensive Assessment.

This Activity has six specific components:

  1. Improve institutional research and assessment (advising services, identification of at-risk students, quantitative measures, benchmarking, student tracking, academic, administrative and student services assessment and planning)
  2. Improve the advising process and student services delivery through comprehensive faculty training, intrusive interventions, extended orientation, first-year strategies, academic alert, development of integrated student services
  3. Improve Student Success in Developmental and Gateway Courses (supplemental instruction, learning communities and other projects to improve student progress)
  4. Establish a Teaching and Learning Resource Center to serve as the site for support of faculty and staff development and instructional improvement.
  5. Increase Distance learning Capacity (Web courses, IPV courses, hybrid courses and effective use of course management software).
  6. Develop a Summer Bridge for First year Students
