The Treasure Valley Community College Library provides service to the TVCC community of students, faculty, college staff and the surrounding communities. Our goal is to support you in your academic pursuits. We encourage you to stop by or explore the Library website to find out what we offer. Library services are not limited in any way to the building we are in. The Library provides equal access to resources online through our Sage Catalog system. You can freely search through our holdings as well as over 70 Eastern Oregon Libraries. This gives students direct access to the collections of all participating libraries including three academic libraries. Students can visit a Sage library in person or request items to be delivered to TVCC using the Sage catalog. The Library is also a member of the Orbis Cascade Alliance and subscribes to OCLC. This allows students to search libraries across the United States and internationally through the WorldCat link on the Library homepage, giving them access to the collections of over thirty academic libraries in Oregon and Washington alone. Students may ask a Library staff member or use the InterLibrary loan link on the Library website to borrow items not owned by TVCC or within the Sage system. The Library subscribes to several research databases containing information, articles and access to peer reviewed journals. The campus community may search the databases or request specific journals or magazines through InterLibrary Loan. If you have questions, please contact us. The TVCC Library is also a great place to hang out and relax. There are quiet, comfortable spaces as well as individual and group study rooms. All study rooms can be reserved in advance for you or your group. Bring your coffee, kick up your feet next to the fireplace, and curl up with a good book or get some quality study time in. The library has plenty of books, CDs and DVDs for you to enjoy. Study rooms may be used to watch DVDs in groups or individually as well. The computer lab in the Library is available as long as we’re open with printer access and wireless. We are always looking for ways to improve library services. Please let us know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions. We look forward to seeing you soon. The Library Staff |
