All new degree and certificate seeking students entering Treasure Valley Community College will be required to take placement tests prior to registration. These placement tests determine course level placement in the areas of English, reading, and mathematics, and supplement admission procedures to Treasure Valley Community College. Students are placed in classes based on their test scores.

There is no cost for the initial placement test. Re-test fee is $10.00. Students are encouraged to take the tests as early as possible. Testing is scheduled for orientation and registration days primarily for students who need to travel long distances. Contact the Testing Center at 881-5799 to schedule a testing time.
