The Writing Lab was created to help students succeed in their writing classes and on writing assignments for classes in any discipline.  It is a resource that can be used at any point in the writing process.  However, we do ask that students hold themselves responsible for their writing assignments and come to us with specific concerns and/or questions.  The Writing Lab is not a place for students to have someone proofread their papers.  (Proofreading means finding and fixing all of an essay's errors.)
