Diversity is a mosaic of people who bring a variety of backgrounds, styles, perspectives, values, and beliefs as assets to the groups and organizations with which they interact.

We recognize the benefit of providing an environment that affirms difference and encourages the development of healthy self in a diverse environment. 

The Diversity Council at TVCC was formed out of a desire to improve the college's interactions with diverse cultures on campus and ethnic communities in the region.
